Creation and editing of projects

 

Description

In the view project settings you can create new projects and edit existing projects and it´s possible to authorize users for projects.

 

Objects to work on

You edit a single project at a time. Choose in the mask selection the project you want to edit.Please note: If you are a project administrator and have no manager permissions, the mask selection will only display projects you were authorized for as project administrator.

 

Create projects

To create a project please click the button Create new project generate.

After this there will appear a new project in the mask selection which you immediately edit in the index card.

 

Build via project template

You can create a new project that is based on an existing project.

For that choose in the mask selection in the select list under New project structure based on the project which should be used as template and click the buttonCreate new project.

If you click the checkboxInherit project membersall members of the source project will also belong to the new project. The new project inherits all settings of the Workflow and the table structure.

 

Index card General

Within the index card General, you can edit name and description of the project.

 

Index card Project members

Within the index card Project members, you can determine users that obtain access to the project.

Projects in are supported by three pillars:

 

Workflow

The workflow determines, through which statuses an issue has to go. This defines the basic course of a project's issues.

 

Table structure

The table structure defines the structure of issues. I.e. it determines, which fields of the issues can/must be filled out, how these fields are displayed and which data types they contain.

 

Permissions

The permissions let you determine the privileges of users within the project. I.e. you can determine if a user is allowed to create new issues, copy issues or delete issues; if the user can use the chart function; which issues are visible for a user and issues of which status a user is allowed to edit.
