Display analysis of imported file

Description

After the import file has been uploaded on the server and analysed, the results are displayed on this index card. Additionally you can manually edit the status assignment.

Import analysis

Following information about the imported file is displayed here: File size (Size), number of data records found (Entries found), number of columns and number of rows.

Note "ID reference"

This Note relates to the Index card(s) Column 1 - x.

If you want existing issues of the project to be replaced with issues from the import file that have the same IDs, go to the index card "Column 1 - x" and assign the project column "ID ref" to the CSV column "ID".

Note "Import hierarchical relationship"

This Note relates to the Index card(s) Column 1 - x.

If you want to import a hierarchical relationship from the csv file, you need a column ID with a unique id for every issue and a column with the id of the higher ranked issue. To import the relationship, assign the "ID" or "ID ref" column to the import ID field and the "higher ranked issue" to the column with the higher ranked issue.

Status selection

If there is no status defined for the data records of the file, or the imported status is not defined in the target project, you manually choose the status from the selection list.

The imported issues will obtain the selected status.

To import the loaded file to the project, click the button Import.

Note:

We advise you to thoroughly check the column assignment in the Index card(s) Column 1 - x before you import the file.
