Description

For using an Internet connection and a browser is required.

The browser must support frames, allow cookies, open pop-up windows and able to execute Java-Script.

We recommend following Browsers:

•Current Mozilla Firefox

•Current Microsoft Internet Explorer

Other browser (e.g. Opera) do not support some functions.

Choose the preferred language in the login window. Enter your user name and password. After clicking "Login" the system validates your data and installs a cookie. This cookie is part of the security system during the session. After the login, you will be directed to the Project selection.

URL-Login

Since version V5.3 it is possible to start by appending variables. Allowed are:

u for username

p for password

l for language: en or de

Example:

User testuser with the password testpasswordcan save the following link at the browserlinks:

https://www.woodpecker-it.com/avs/start.php?u=testuser&p=testpassword&l=en

On clicking these link the user will be logged in with the language English. Because this is a safety critical setting, it can be enabled/disabled at the db_settings.php with the variable ALLOWAUTOLOGIN. By default it is disabled.

If you are directed to the login window after clicking an "issue link" of an automated email, the issue belonging to the email is displayed in Edit view after you have logged in. If you are logged in already while clicking the "issue link", you will not have to log in again.
