Communicating by chat

Description

The chat enables you to directly communicate with project members about an issue.

The first column of each issue in list view features the chat icon . If there is no message the icon is shown. You start the chat by clicking the icon.

If a dialog has already been started, the chat window displays the messages. To join in, enter your message into the input field below and click "send". Your message is instantly available for all participants. You can choose your own color for your messages to better contrast with the others.

Note

The chat window updates regularly in a interval you can define yourself. Choose the duration of the interval from the selection list "interval". "never" means the chat window will not be updated at all. The settings for background color and interval will be saved by the system. Next time you use the chat, you will not have to define them again.

Invite participants

By clicking this button a new window will open and you can invite other user with an email to chat with you. Chose the project members you want to invite in the selction list. Then the email adress of the choosen project members will be inserted in the text box "receiver". You can add non project members in the textbox. Please complete every email adress with a semicolon or a comma. Finally click the "send" button. Every receiver will get an invitation email with a "Secure ID", which authorise non project members to take part on the chat.
